I had planned to go to Baltimore on Monday for the All-American Council, but of course in this day and age, I assume I have COVID, so traveling is off the table. (Fortunately, my symptoms are quite mild—mostly, I’m just a little tired and a bit achy.) That leaves me an entire week at home in which I won’t be working and, now, have no set plans. It might be nice to simply relax for a week, reading or watching TV or whatever, but I suspect I would get bored quickly. In any case, there are plenty of projects I’ve been thinking about for a while, both computer-related and not; and I’m sure my wife has some ideas about things to get done too.

Mostly, though, I want to use the time to get back into a rhythm. Somehow, I sort of fell out of the consistency of a daily routine in the last several months. A thoughtfully laid-out routine is a good idea for anyone, I think, but it’s particularly important in a large family like ours.
