I previously used Commento to have comments on blog posts, but I have now removed it. This was for several reasons:

• I was unsure about allowing comments in the first place.
• As it happened, I didn’t really get any comments anyway.
• Commento’s git repository hasn’t been committed to in a year and a half, and there are over a hundred longstanding issues and merge requests. This suggests it’s—at best—not a priority, if not outright abandoned.
• My subscription was due to renew next month, so better to pull the trigger now on removal.

For right now, I’m simply removing Commento, and at a later time may evaluate whether to move to something else.
